Tuggy - a Southampton
« on: September 30, 2012, 09:25:41 am »

Maiden voyage went well.  :-)) Marcelo (5yo)  decided to christen her Tuggy for the moment!! He drove it for most of the morning - perhaps I should have bought two.  %%

It's riding a bit high and will get some more weight to get it down to the five and half kilos that most people recommend.

The stock battery lasted about an hour and a half of intermittent running.

All in all very impressed.  :-) :-)

More photos and video tomorrow.

Thanks - Children are cool like that, I will eventually take off the Southampton name and replace it with Wyeforce but I suspect it will always be known as 'Tuggy'!  8)

That would have had it riding a little low!!

Second sailing - some videos.

Here are some videos of our second sailing. Marcelo (5yo) was doing the sailing and was doing okay - only one minor hiccup!! Had a bit more weight in than maiden voyage.

Still using the stock, plus a 3300 naH NiMH that I squeezed in in front of the motors and adds to the weight. Lipos haven't arrived yet.
