The Lion Park Model Boat Club Jersey.
« on: October 01, 2012, 09:55:27 pm »

Just to clarify the status at the Lion Park Model Boat Club.
The primary tenant of the property, Jersey Goldsmiths are indeed leaving the property in January 2013. However the actual owners are not. The club is currently in communication with the owners and all indications are that the club will not be moving in the immediate future. Sailing and club activities will continue as normal . Indeed we are at present expanding the infrastructure on the lake and also planning events for Christmas time and also into the New Year.
An interesting development is the approach from a local business  man who currently runs a large farm retail business and is looking at expanding into a visitor park. The club is in discussion with the owner and one development is the construction of a purpose built pond tailored to our requirements. This would be in addition to the existing irrigation reservoir on site. This site offers many benefits including an on site restaurant etc, so the future looks exceedingly bright for the Lion Park Model Boat Club.

There has always been room for another group or club no one has ever suggested otherwise, People join a club because they want to not just because they have to.
What ever yor hobby is you will find somewhere to carry it out,
But you will always get people who think they are being picked on that is life,Some people moan about it others just get on with things,
Glad to see you are enjoying your hobby on you new reservoir,Good luck and happy boating  :-))

Hello again mayhem.
Jersey model boats will be back on the water from this weekend after our short summer break now the duck weed has cleared.
We are on he water every weekend and bank holidays and hopefully mid week also.
You can use the water from sunset to sun rise and we are very easy to find in St Peters Valley, you can keep up to date with whats going on at jerseymodelboats.com and you will always be made very welcome as mayhem member Jonty found out this year.
Many thank
Lance
