Well done! - Cornwall Model Boats
« on: October 04, 2012, 08:34:52 am »

Yesterday lunchtime I ordered four searchlamps for the Neptune from Cornwall Model Boats...paid for my order, and sat back to await their arrival.

Five minutes ago the postman knocked on my door and handed me my lights.

To Cornwall Model Boats and the much maligned Post Office, I say a big public "Thank You"...if that's not good service, then I want my ball back.

Well done to both parties!!

Lights duly fitted...next up is the guard rail, the video camera and make up a decent/tidy wiring loom.  :embarrassed:

Well on the other hand, it seems to take forever to receive anything from them and westbourne models.

Stuff surely can't be out of stock everytime...

I order only items in stock, and so far anything ordered from Cornwall Model Boats has
made it to the West coast of the United States within one week.

 :-)) :-)) :-))

Maybe not but at least it gives you something else to moan about.

For gawd's sake leave it out, you two...if you must bitch at each other, step outside and sort it out like proper men. I'm getting right miffed off at this.

As Umi says  " I order only items in stock"

I work on this principle with them and don't order a list when one item is out of stock, as I know they will not post half an order.   I find them very prompt with their deliveries and am always pleased.    :-))

Cheers

Well my point was, i only order stuff thats in stock, but seemingly whilst everyone else gets their goods the next day or the day after that, i seem to wait all week, which leads me to believe stuff is out of stock, when they say it isnt..

Having no local model shop with any interest in boats I'm just grateful to be able to get the parts I need, even if it takes a week! Both Westborne and Cornwall have served me well. Long may it continue  :-))

I ordered something off Cornwall model boats that they charged me for 2 years ago and after chasing them up a few times I still haven't got it. It wasn't a high value item so I don't really care, and I've since sold the boat it was meant for....

Once again, super rapid delivery from CMB...I ordered some brass rod/tube in the early hours of Monday morning....it's just dropped through my letterbox.

Thanks CMB, and thanks to the Post Office.
