Can someone point me in the right direction please, I have inherited a couple of TID tugs and they plod along quite happily an seems to be quite stable, my problem is I am not happy how one of them sits in the water, if I go by the waterline that was already painted on, the bow sits a bit high, the stern looks about right if I add more weight to the bow all it does is bring the stern up at the moment there is about 7.5Kg of weight flat down the middle plus a 12v battery for running and a 6v for the smoker also in the middle, is there any special way you have to place the weights. hope someone help as "she who must be obeyed" wants the bath back

Hi Gopher

The easiest way around this is to put extra some weight on the centre line half way between bow and stern, then, move it forwards step by step until you get the boat sitting as you want. It will need a little experimenting,but you will get there.

Tid tugs like most screw tugs always handled better a bit bow high.

Totally agree with Bob on this one my 48 ins Tid used to have a pair of 12v 10 amp in her and a 6v   and approx 3lbs in the stern so she would sit with her bow slightly higher than the stern, sail her level and she will cavitate (prop out of the water)

That was happening the first time i put it water that was why I put more weight in it, then the stern was ok but  the bow a little high, shall try and get photo tomorrow

Had a go at photos, not a lot of use  I don't think I need to get it down to the local haunt to get some better ones, I have put them on they may give you an idea, I have got to let her have the bath back, no sense of humour
