Hi,
When I built my Type 2D U141 (posted earlier) the biggest challenge was to cut out the slots accurately and marking the grates etc
So when I decided to build the earlier Type 2 versions I was going to simplify things for myself.
I scanned the deck and redrew it in Illustrator and then got it laser cut on plywood. After that I glued it to the master plug
On casting it in RTV it has picked up all the detail... no need to cut out the slots
Attached are pictures of my latest hull which is a Type 2C Uboat 1:40 scale, L 43.5" long with Wintergarten Tower
2 piece Hull, split at the waterline. It can take a 3.5" OD cylinder
This hull gives the modeller the choice of building the Type 2 A,B,C or Vessiko Sub
I will run up a hull or two on request before the winter sets in...
