What's happening peeps? Not only was I enjoying this build immensely but I have an Assurance on order from the wonderful MS (aftersales is brill already). Now it all seems to ahve ground to a halt. What's the score Moderators?

Well, I'm glad you are enjoying it, but I would hardly call no posting for a few days coming to a halt.

Everyday life at the moment has some higher priorities than building the boat.  There is no way this build is going to come to a complete stop and over time will be finished.  I'm in no rush and want to do a good a job as I can.  As of when I have time and get something done worth posting, I will get it posted as soon as possible.

Cheers Tim.

Even though I did pre-bend the hatch cover, I found over time it was starting to straighten itself again, so the securing tabs are doing a great job of holding it down.

Got a lot on at the moment with car trouble and other things, but will get back to building in the next week or so.

Thanks

Sorry :embarrassed: :embarrassed: . Quite right there are more important things in life. In my defence I thought (?) you may have got fed up posting because of the difficulty in getting pictures onto your posts. Anyway, thanks for lots of information and entertainment from a first class build.

It's coming along nicely.   :-))

I was interested to see your October 30th post about trimming the wheelhouse side panels. I found that I had exactly the same problem with the gap in the forward part. If you look at my Assurance build you'll see that, rather than take the clever option as you did, I cheated and added a small 'skirting' around the bottom to cover the gap. It's hardly noticeable on the finished model and meant that I didn't have to trim anything else to fit.  8)

Cheers Spook.
I have looked at your build and it has been very useful.  I was going to put a skirting around to start, but as it needed it front and back I thought I'd try trimming it to see how it worked.
Luckily it did fit pretty well, or it would have had skirting in the end to cover up my mistake.

Thanks

Well, just a quick note to let anybody interested with this build know what is happening.

Did not realize how long it has been, but hopefully all life problems now sorted.   :-))

But, did lose all interest in any building of any kind,  :((   this build has not been forgotten and will get back to it in the future.
Did not want to force myself to carry on as I think that would have probably caused build problems.

So have just got hold of a Hobby King Southampton tug, which I am stripping, repainting and upgrading the electrics on.
Also acquired a Thunder Tiger Naulantia Yacht to assemble with modifications to be done.

Hopefully, these smaller builds will get the interest back and the planets realigned... %% %%

Alright Tim,

Not getting back into it just yet, but will certainly continue in the very near future.  Am also waiting for some finer weather so I can get the hull painted.

Cheers Sandy.

I will most definitely carry on sometime in the future, it has not been forgotten.
Just takes up the whole work bench, and I want to get a few of the smaller builds out of the way first.

Which reminds me, I've got to get myself in gear and get the last build up and posted.  >>:-(

Cheers

Hello Steve,

Sorry, Have had a real bad couple of years and ended up selling it on as it was.
I'm sure if you post up what you need help with, if I do not know, someone else will be sure to know.
Best of luck.
