Hi guys,
has anyone out there got a detailed photo or a plan of the deck detail for Caldercraft Sir Kay
minesweeper, especially the stern section, many thanks.

Thanks for that Frank. What are the large arched structures with lugs with holes in them used for?any ideas.

Hi John.
            if you mean this



 is called the trawl gallows.  

 The sir kay is a fishing trawler built for naval service.  As such it carries the standard fishing equipment which would have been used to pay out the line attached to the nets by use of the trawl gallows.  In its naval service the trawl gallows is use to stream the cable attached to the oropsea float which which was used for minesweeping.
