As the title says, I want to build something slightly different (for me) so had a good look around.

Decided I'd go fo a particular type of kit and narrowed it down to 2 models. Only issue is one manufacturer makes the main components and another separate manufacturer makes 'the rest.'

Now Im not a good enough modeller to build all these ancillary parts myself hence the approach. On contacting one manufacturer to determine parts availability, I was told they'd get back to me. They havent (there's a bit more to it than that but I dont want to go into detail).

Why should I bother? If they cant confirm, yes, parts are readily available, Im not going to shell out nearly 400 quid on the other bits before finding the others arent and wont be available any time soon.

Think I'll just buy a complete off the shelf model from another retailer instead.
