I was watching the London Marathon and saw one runner dressed as a chicken and another runner dressed as an egg. I thought: 'This could be interesting!'

A woman is sobbing that she's locked herself out of her car, when a passing soldier assures her that he can help.

She looks on amazed as he removes his trousers, rolls them into a tight ball and rubs them against the car door.

Magically it opens!

"That's so clever," the woman gasps, "How did you do it?"

"Khakis, of course."

Aye France…

What is it now?

1815 - Played at home, lost.
1870 - Played at home, lost.
1914 - Played at home, lost.
1940 - Played at home, lost.
1950(?) French Indo-China, played away, lost.

…and those are just the ones I can think of straightaway.  :}

googling French Military Victories always used to bring up the comment  ' did you mean French military Defeats'
but I think they may have fixed that now.

Actually - what should you call the 1914 event, it wasn't exactly a loss as they held with a lot more players than the opposing side which eventually went to a game called off (that is what an armistice is - isn't it).

I read that Alton Towers have started giving blind visitors a hand-held device that describes the attractions they are 'seeing'.

It's an iPod that keeps repeating, "You're in a queue of 400 people."

I had a friend who waited 4 hours to go a ride, then decided he had waited too long and left the queue - I actually do wonder whether he's normal sometimes...  %%

Our goldfish died last night after my kids accidentally fed him small pieces of polystyrene.

I'm still trying to flush it down the toilet now.
