I recently sailed to the Hook of Holland. I spent a few hours there and found that for a very small town there's quite a lot to do....Well at least there would be if it was still August.
As well as the entrance to the busiest port in the world there's a Fort that was built in the 1880's to protect the 'New Waterway', There are several bunkers making up the 'Atlantic Wall Museum' and a military grave yard. A fast ferry service runs through the harbour where the big ships are docked.
