I suppose all of us as modellers are critisized in someway or other by the outside world. I think many of us have boats that we have possesed for 7 years or more and take them out each weekend for an hour or two just for the sake of it. So actually hes doing nothing more than the rest of us do except his models actually do labour.
Obviosly he doesnt want his basement in a hurry but i bet hes getting more out of his RC creations than most of us are.

This guy needs a life!... ...and do what instead, build model boats?
Fair play to him, he's got the models and the 'quarry' to use them in - Blooming Brilliant!

Beats sitting in front of this computer every day, good on him.
Now do I really need a basement or should I settle for a lake ?

Brilliant if you have the time and space to do it!
Dicky you should dig out your foundations and have your very own lake under your house

Some time ago, I ran across a whole model construction center
in Germany, where people could bring their RC models and move dirt, or drive
vehicles through the building.
