The S95 is a superb little camera, producing pin sharp photos in low light. I know of some Pros who use them as back up cameras. The other two are basically replacements to the S95, so should be an improvement.


Also take a look at the Nikon P300 or P310. This has a super fast f1.8 lens, which is incredible in low light, especially when using the cameras stabilization system. They are also cheaper than the Canon. It then becomes a case of which you prefer when handling.

 I bought a Canon Powershot SX260HS to replace the powershot A700 I lost in the summer...........and it is a fantastic camera......i bought it in august for 269.00 from curries..........now on sale at 199.00..a real bargain especially with the features it has on it.

Had a S110 , great camera but after two yeasrs of getting knocked about on trawlers it gave up the ghost, but produced great pictures for a compact , upgraded to a panasonic lumix g10, but got a leaflet from Maplins yesterday witH A PANASONIC LUMIX FS40 I think for £74 which is a great deal

That might be a different S110, the Canon Powershot S110 has only just been released.

There is a world of difference between that old S110, the Panasonic Lumix and the newer models S110 and the Nikons. The latest have full manual control and are aimed at photographers who want the extra control. They also have higher resolution sensors.In short it is like comparing a Jaguar to a Fiat.....Sorry wbeedie, but it is true..
