It definitely snows in Australia. This is a photo I took in the NSW snowfields, at Perisher resort, which has more than 50 lifts.

Brian,

Looks like you will get a warm summer this year.

We are still wearing jumpers up here only 32 degrees Celsius.

250 fires in Victoria yesterday.
Warnings that the next few months could be as bad as the 'Black Saturday' fires.

Nor here!
It is officially the fifth day of summer, but it snowed overnight at Falls Creek, in Victoria's north-east.
The ski resort received up to six centimetres of snow.
Resident photographer Chris Hocking says the wind chill took apparent temperatures to minus 6 degrees Celsius at times and the ground has turned white.
"We've probably seen four to six centimetres on the ground [and] a little more up high," he said.
"Temps are in sort of mid-winter chill and [it's] just amazing to see the ground turn pretty much white all around the resort."
Mount Baw Baw and Mount Hotham have also had snow.

That's Victoria for you.   The weather is never dull! 39 degress last week, freezing this week.

Here in southern England it was warm and sunny Monday morning, then cold and wet Monday afternoon, then warm and sunny Tuesday morning, then cold and wet Tuesday afternoon... I wonder what today's going to be?

And despite what the Daily Mail has been telling us since September, no snow down here yet!

Not much snow in Port Macquarie....or up here in Lismore, either. In fact, I can't remember the last time it snowed here - the last ice age perhaps? {-)
