Thankyou SO much Grendel. I've seen that one for sale many times but only now read the small print saying "Coot Club" and "Big Six". Always thought it was "Swallows and Amazons" Film which is permanently locked on Sky planner. Just ordered it on Amazon as Xmas stocking filler. And your memory serves you well. Didn't like reading "Coots In The North" as it unfinished but so glad nobody finished it for A.R.. That I always find a let down.

the style of the tv series is quite dated now, I have the dvd myself, but if you like boats its still very interesting and the story is good and fairly true to the books.
I have just found they released kindle editions of the books this time last year, so they are now on my christmas list.

I have just finished reading Swallows and Amazons again after an interval of more than 60 years, and loved it just as much as the first time. I bought it from the Kindle store for my e-reader, where most of the series is available.
