Thanks. The K&S range are too big. I'm easy about material, un-painted brass looks better but ali is easier to cut.

I just need thin tube  < .7mm that I can insert a eyelet in the end, the leg of the eyelet being about .3 to .5mm.

Cheers, thinking of going with Deans.

Can I ask for a few more bits instead of opening a new tread?

I need about 4 or 5 different types of mesh and grating for this scale warship. Does anyone do a sheet of various types of mesh or grating on the one sheet? Inc grating with square and oblong holes and square and diamond pattern 'non-woven' mesh?

I need small bits of each and it's about £10 a pop.

1:128 etched boarding companionways?
« Reply #8 on: December 02, 2012, 12:49:19 am »

Hi
again, rather than create a different thread for each want, I'll post them in this one.

I'm looking for 2x, 1:128 companion ways (the inclined ladders up the side of the ship) It's an RN battleship so it has 2 (well 3 but.. ) The main one off the fo'c'sle deck is 75mm long and there's a smaller, thinner version 50mm long off the quarterdeck. They are both 8mm wide.

I'm looking at these:

The steps are too far apart but I think I can make them do with a bit of work. But does anyone know what form the treads take? I'm looking for a wide step, not a thin rung like off a ladder.

Or can anyone point me at suitable etched ladder strip that I can use to make my own?
