HI Guys just a quick picture showing how I have made the life raft canister supports. I have no fancy jig to make these only a good selection of pliers fret cutters and a soldering iron. I use a block of balsa wood for pinning down my brass parts prior to soldering. Drawing pins are used to hold down the parts on the wood block cheap but very easy to use. Most of the brass work on my model has been built using this method.

I have now set my self a challenge building the detail in the wheel house. I have very little to work from a few poor pictures showing only part of the interior. So far cabin floor and bulkheads with some future control   panels fitted more to follow.

Hey Stan, I have the original preserved Schutze  moored up in my back garden, do you want me to pop out and take photos?!!!  %)

HI Still working on the bridge area progress is slow. I found a great U tube video showing all the detail in the wheel house. Hope the pictures are alright.

Just found this thread of your build Stan. What a brilliant job, so neat, clean, tidy and precise. I think I do a good job until I take a pictures that seems to show up all the flaws.  :-)) Graham

Hi Everyone I have not much over the last five weeks due club events and Haydock boat convention. Bridge section is well on the way to been complete. Today I finished painting the two steps down from the wheel house to the deck level  just a few more bits to make and fit then it will be complete.

There is still lot to do to complete this model fine detailing lots of work on the mast wiring for the lights and painting etc. I will post more pictures during the next lot of work on this model.

Astounding work Stan. I have looked through all of this topic and have been amazed by the level or attention most if not all parts have received during the build.

You join the gang of people whose work I am observing for inspiration on Mayhem.

Hi Guys I have started work on this model again along with U S S Whitehall. I have posted some shots of the bridge area showing cable runs which will of course be grey when the model is painted. Also the look out posts now fitted with timber slats. More to follow.
