Another gorgeous build Stan. What with Joe's Coventry, Bob's Poly, KP's Guilt masterpieces and many others, we are enjoying a period of brill modelling on here.

Hi Paint job on the cabin section is now complete. Now adding all the final details still a lot to do just a few pictures showing cabin with pennant number fitted and ships letters stuck on cocktail sticks to allow painting.

Hi in my last post I did say the glazing would be a problem, well see the following pictures. To glaze the front I had to clamp the bridge unit to my work bench and secure the top of the bridge with twine  which is secured to a screw in the garage joists. You may think this is over the top but doing it this way I can see just how to position the glazing and the glue stays put no runs.

Lateral thinking outside the box.  Good sideways thinking, or in your case  'vertical thinking'   :}

Cheers

HI everyone I have been asked to post some pictures on how I have made some coiled ropes. I cut a piece of round plastic tube and glued it to a sheet of plastic card. When its dry drill a small hole in the bottom of the tube this will allow the rope to be fitted in to it and hold it secure.

One. Soak the rope in p v a thinned with water.

Two Place the end of the rope in the drilled hole in the base of the tube.

Three Wind the rope around the former using two cocktail sticks. Use the sticks to guide the rope and roll the rope to keep it flat leave to dry overnight. Remove next morning clean up and glue into place or paint if needed.
