Thanks for sharing your work with us Stan. That screen is a torture for all modelmakers. Does it even work as intended in real life? Looks like it would distort the skippers view more than the spray.

Excellent presentaion of the model, can't wait to see what you have lined up next though you did hint at something.

HI everyone I am pleased to say I have now started a new model all will be revealed later. The Schutze build just needs some fine tuning ready for Ellesmere next week end. Most of you will seen external detail but I have taken a few shots to show what makes it tick.

HI Yes I do now what all the wires and boxes do. Sometimes I wonder if I was an electrician in my past life. Its all very simple really.

Actually, I have found the boxes and boards quite nice to wire up.

Maybe to you Stan but to me it needs a long explanation. It does look ever so neat though - I hate the spaghetti type wiring often seen.

The boards and bits that Action sell are very well annotated and come with instructions so us luddites 'Ooh, it isn't made of wood {:-{ ' can quite easily wire it together.

Sit down with a cuppa and place all the units in a layout roughly translating to how they will fit into the hull and read any literiture that came with the stuff.

HI everyone I have not left been doing other things. I have now made the scrambling net and fitted to the model it certainly looks a strange arrangement. These pictures will be the last of this model. It has taken many years to rebuild this model and finally end up with model that looks like its full size counterpart. I would like to thank you all once again for your comments on this build. I hope I have inspired kit builders to see what can be done to transform some kit models. My next model is now under construction more to follow.

Thanks to all. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Lovely work Stan- its a credit to you as a model builder. I've watched your build from very near the beginning and having seen the model for real at Doncaster I am very impressed with your patience. Well done mate. :-))

HI I have just found these pictures today. Its a sad end to what I think was a good looking ship but she managed 30 years service  so not a bad record really.

Well after numerous years of rebuilding I am pleased to say the model took first place in kit class at the Model Boat Convention. Picture to follow showing a very nice cut glass award.

Hi all final pictures of 1062 showing the model with the rose bowl trophy for kit class model during my visit to the Model Boat Convention. Once again many thanks to you all for your comments over the years it makes it all worth while and taking the kit class was the icing on the cake. Sadly no more warships for a while building a fishing boat. See working vessels.
