Probably a low cost new 4ch 2.4GHz setup would be cheaper and easier than messing about. Legal for both, as well, and no messing with crystals and wondering if anybody else is on the same channel.

You will struggle to find a 3CH tx that will take that kind of module and if you do the price will be quite high
Its also designed for indoor aircraft so the range will not be that good.

Scrolling down the page on the link given -
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18820__2_4Ghz_SuperMicro_Systems_HK_MFX600_F_H_Module_Futaba_Hitec_Compatible_.html
there is a question and answer section, much like this forum. For all I know, the original intended question might have been asked on there, it might even have been answered.
But, from the information as far as I read it - the RX shown will only bind to its associated TX module. That module was only designed for a specific range of modular TXs. If it is required to use it with other TXs, some cutter, plier and soldering iron work is needed, along with some fairly deep electronics knowledge.
