Ex Scottish International 100 Kart Racing Team 19canteen :embarrassed: but I dont remember seeing that flag when the "lady" drove into me on the day I  acted as starter. {-) %% {-)  The flag attached I like to see in a marina, means "drinks being served,welcome aboard" in this neck of the woods but is an official burgee for something else.

Then I'm working tonight so no time to look for a flag.

POST A FLAG ANYONE PLEASE ......... and the game goes on.

  The Americans have a class of yacht called Thistle, but can't see a connection.

Not the only one Dave. Should have known it would be railways from past postings. It is the North_British_Railway.

Spot on W3bby, the initials were there right under the pennant plus all the "lines" "tracks"  "Watford JUNCTION" .  I was running out of hints , how do I get "points", "ballast", "signals" into it so a sleepy railwayman would get it {-)   Now to see (sea  >>:-( ) what ships the NBR had if any. Why else a pennant ?!

I'm one of those heavy sleepers and hence I missed your several points,
for my brain is only used for ballast and thus ignored your obvious signals
to get me on track.  :}

Just did a short search for NBR ships  and they did have a few on both east and west coast of Scotland , couldn't find a picture of any with the pennant.
