  Duvel? Dunno, but this is top of the list when you google 'Belgian blonde flag'

  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaCHGb0n_dM

  I believe I am not alone in having always thought that there was something slightly odd about the Belgians.

Well taking my cue from Jonty yet again  :-)) ..........
Duvel beer is Belgian  and is brewed in Breedonk by the Duvel-Moortgat brewery.
Breedonk is within the municipality of Puurs which also has the historic 14 Km  Dendermonde–Puurs Steam Railway.
So the flag is the Antwerp municipality of Purrs http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/be-vanpu.html  :}

OK, I just got a PM inviting me to post a cunningly unusual flag.  Here Goes !

Clue:  it is both a National Flag and an Ensign

Wonder if Ryanair has a cheapo flight this week to Germany.

Yes, made an emergency landing there instead of going to Manchester.  Today Manchester appear to be letting passengers arrive without checking their passports.  Airport not having a good week.

Not cunning enough evidently.  Well done !   :-))
The Republic of Kiribati is a group of 32 atols and a single coral island in the central Pacific Ocean, stadling the equator, with a population of just over 100,000

Good to see the research... Furher, the girl was Miss Belgium in 2001 (could be seen in pic info as it was a direct link) and happens to be the only "famous person" to come from Puurs according to wikipedia. The beer is known as a blonde beer.

I'm out for a while now as I have limited web access, 56k modem (remember those!!!) at the "stuga". We had the pleasure of over 10cms snow last night. Good luck with arrow's latest ;)

Leyland urban district council has both the St Andrew Cross and Lancashire Rose as part of it's emblem
Can't say further than that though {:-{

Oh, and the Swiss seem to really like that rose too.

So we`ve established that it isnt a Lancs section of Bonnie Prince Charlie`s rebel army !  It has more to do with the blonde  in last post buddy. Try further east.

Well done W3bby

http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/cz-pb-pr.html#pr
From looking at that (and a comment) it seems not to be
St Andrew's cross at all, but instead is the white sails of
a windmill set against the sky - by interpreting the coat of
arms it is anyway.

Continuing the blue/white theme, let's check this one out.. (The right side of the flag is jagged, not square.)

I was thinking a compilation of themes from previous clues, blonde, beer, St Andrew`s cross etc but a Czech car maker could be a flanker. The Tatra beer is Polish ! :((
