Fancy you talking about the Applegarth ,I worked on her at the ship yard she was taken to for refit ,we did a compleat take out ,all machinery ,boiler was e rayed in place to find any fractures ,,non found as this expected she sank in water that was below zero ,and she had a full head o steam ,one of my jobs ,together with three other fitters was to draw file all the boiler /fittings brass flanges ,took weeks to do ,when she was eventually ready for service on the river again ,she had a totally new type of accomodation ,a few mod cons ,but it did not stop the aprehehention of getting a crew ,,hence she eventually went to become the so named tug on the Welsh coast .
