Just searched Amazon, the book you suggested is the wrong Barb...that's the Gato class boat (SS-220) the one I'm building is the Permit class boat (USS-596)

Have you try "Floatingdrydocks.com", they have a lot of military ship and submarine plans of various scales.  They also have a e-book on the Gato/Balao class submarines.
