Proxxon table saw blade
« on: December 22, 2012, 07:01:19 pm »

Try as I might no amout of effort seems to move the retaining bolt holding the blade on the shaft >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( .
I have tried locking the drive shaft using an alan key and have managed to bend the key %% %% .
I'm not even sure if its a left or right hand thread I am open to suggestions as I'm running out of ideas.

I've just had a look at mine and I see your point.
I have changed mine as well in the past but now it appears to be on tighter than ever. The only way to do it I think if you have not already done so, is to remove the plate on the table and using a long hex key and jam the blade to stop it turning. Crude I know but, it has worked in the past. I'm pretty sure that it's a normal thread on the locking screw.

Hi steam up; I have the same saw fortunately I have had no problem changing the blades. You have not mentioned anything about having the operating manual. Here is a link to the operating manual just in case you do not have one.

Needed a total strip down in the end >>:-( >>:-( .
Anti clockwise to remove bolt after knocking the shaft out and placing in the 3 jaw chuck.

Do you mean that it is a left hand thread after all? I also have the earlier model but I've never had the instruction manul for it now I know where to find it. The later model appears to be a much better machine as well.

I love these tools.
I have the Proxxon bandsaw, micro belt sander, rotary hand drill and assorted accessaries.
My next Proxxon tool acquisition will be the table saw.
