The pond in the forest is a wonderful lake.  The members will make you truly welcome, as they did my husband and our family.  I hope you will enjoy the pond as much as we have over the last few years.  When the weather is great so is the sailing.

All the best

HI .
I am The Scale Captain of The Solent RCMBC , our home water is Setley Pond in The New Forest . At themoment the lake is overfull and the car park is badly flooded but it is still possible to sail (when its not raining !!!)
The Scale Section meet on Thursday and Sunday mornings from 8.30 until about 1.30 , The Sailing Section meet to race as follows:-Monday (America Cup Yachts) Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday (marblehead ,R3r etc) Saturday (America Cup Yachts) Saturday is also shared with the Scale Section if required . Bone Fide members of other clubs sail for free , non club members payŁ1.50 to cover insurance and temporary membership to comply with Forrestry Commission Rules , No IC boats or fast racing Electric permitted by FC rules (seperate lake at Stoney Cross provided for these , operated by The Southampton Model Power Boat Club)
