Happy New Year from me in Australia, where it's been 2013 for 8 and a half hours :-)

The Sydney fireworks were spectacular, as usual, even though I watched them on TV, as I live 750km north of that city.

I learned of his policies when I lived out there..and they came into good effect one evening.

I was staying with a mate on a farm in Lismore northern NSW when I got a hot date with a mate's sister.......all I had was my BMW R90s at the time and she had no helmet..............and with 40 minutes to get from Lismore to the nearest motorcycle shop in Brisbane, I set off burning rubber..............made the shop with (as I thought ) minutes to spare to buy this helmet, only to be told that Queensland never adopted the Summer daylight saving, as the "peanut farmer" resisted change, lol.............and so I rushed for nothing as the time was earlier in QL than when I'd left Lismore........nearly suffered jet lag, lol %% %% %% %% %%

needless to say the trip was a waste of b***** time, as the girl didn't like motorcycles...and that was that........anyone want a spare helmet,  %% %% %%
