BMPRS where has this year gone already ???????
« on: January 05, 2013, 11:00:47 pm »

It's only 11 weeks to go until the 2013 BMPRS season kicks off at Leicester ...whooooopydoo  :-))

Renewing BMPRS members you have until 31st January to take advantage of the 8 GBP renewal fee's.
New members I'm afraid it's still only 10 GBP if you would like to join us for the 2013 season  :o
and don't forget these fee's include Public Liability Insurance  :-))

The new class 1 & 2 racing for this season appears to have been well received with a lot of interest being shown....Hmmmmm can't wait...... looks like we are going to be busy  :}

You can join us by clicking on the membership link on our website www.bmprs.co.uk   :-)) :-)) :-))

Happy New Year Everyone  :-))

Just done some checking of membership fees, so I can choose the best value . All offer good public liability insurance, so its just down to price. With 2 of the organizations Health and Safety policy published on thier web site's, from what I can see.

hi jack

risk assesments are carried out at all the waters we run at, with it being a new venue myself and at least one other committee member will attend the venue and look at its suitability to hold a race meeting and make notes of potential risks and make recommendations of safe practices at the event if it takes place then additional assesments are made before each meeting, all assesments are then kept on record for future reference should there be any concerns  etc

Just my opinion but i feel Fleetwood is way too narrow to safeley race gas boats,ive seen far too many end up on the bank even in the carpark and as its a public water you cant stop people turning up and using the water or standing right alongside and getting in the way.The only lake that would possibly be safe is the larger of the two but then its not ideal for drivers or spectators.A far better venue would be fairhaven lake but gas boats are not allowed mores the pitty.
Like i say just my opinion but i feel safetey would be an issue.

I was thinking they would hold it on the bigger lake if they could get permission. i personally think it would be a good venue!!! The bridge is an awesome viewing platform for both lakes.. Then the big lake has hard standing pit area thats undercover!!!

In the original proposal put to the AGM the letter T (designating twin hull) was suggested as a prefix but was removed with the approval of the proposer/second after a short discussion with the members present. Your membership number will suffice for the new Class 1 & 2 and yes if you want to race them in other classes you will need to have those class ID letters as well
eg: 123 for class 1 & 2 or AA123 for AA class etc etc  :-))
