Aussie TV 1971
« on: January 08, 2013, 06:05:26 am »

Something jogged a long buried memory of the late night show Spyforce 1971 and of Matlock Police from the same period. Is Australian Tv still as good?  {-)

And Moe is pronounced Mowee.  O0
Toorak, a posh suburb of Melbourne is Trak to the locals but a Toorak tractor is an up market 4WD (Lexus, BMW or Range Rover) and is never called a Trak tractor by the rest of us!

I remember a classic of Aussie tv whilst out there.....I had sat down with mates to watch one of the FA cup finals live      (think it was Sunderland v can't remember) in the early hours......had the tinnies on ice, and a decent spread of  scran, only to be spoilt as usual by the usual monotonous and all too regular advertisment slots, which came at any time during the game.....bit like ITV and the Grand prix's over here............when at the end of full time we all said what a boring game.......no goals......it would have to go to extra time...........so we thought..............

the classic thing was though, that during those advertisement breaks..........goals had been scored, Sunderland had won...... and we'd missed the b***** lot.......................bit like watching a thriller and missing the end to an advert break, %% %% %% %%
