Selling of DickyD's boats
« on: January 12, 2013, 01:48:47 pm »

Dear All

I have decided to sell some of Richard's boats.  I will be keeping 2 of them for my son and I to sail once and a while.

As you can guess there is a lot of equipment to sort out.  If anyone is interested in any of the ships and equipment please could they contact me on the following email address: Sorry Gill posting email on open forum can cause problems.

Bob

Many thanks

Hello Gillian,
I would be interested in the MTB 757 and/or the Robbe Schultze.  Can you post any photos?
Many thanks,
Mike

It will take a little time to get things sorted out just now.
Obviously the Family will have any models that remind them of Dicky.
I have just posted up from memory the models that I can remember.
I have spoke to Gill and she now agrees with removing her email address from open forum.

Dear All

I have now changed DickyD's email address on his profile to me so that all messages will come straight to me.  I hope that is ok with everyone.  Both my son and I would like to stay members if that is also ok.

Many thanks

Gillian, I would be interested possibly too in some of the wartime fleet.

Do we try and hold a yearly reunion of the fleet in memory  :-))

I may be interested in Paula D, should this be one of the boats for sale.

It would be nice for you to stay members on the Forum. I didn't know DickyD personally but from posts shared in the past, he certainly came across as a great guy and a great modeller.  :-)

My son and I have decided to keep the two latest boats Richard made, mainly as he never actually got them in water.  I will also be keeping the Tug, Wellsford as Richard made this one for me.

I will be taking the boats out to the pond in the spring, when the weather is better, so that the grandchildren can go as well.

I will also make sure that Stephen and I do go out on particular dates, which will include a date near Richard's birthday in July.

I would like to say thank you to all those who are interested in the boats.  I will take photos of all the boats and try and put them on the forum.

Dear All

So far I have been able to sell 5 of Richard's boats.  I have another guy coming tomorrow to look at another 2 of the boats.

I am pleased that they are going to people who will enjoy sailing them.  As I said before I am keeping 3 for myself, my son and his partner to sail and hopefully in the future the grandchildren will have a go.

Regards
