ok all the brass is done, the pilot house is glued and screwed to the cabin, the funnel was pinned and glued to the cabin(I thought this would make for a stronger hold and keep me from loosing the mast in the event of a collision while on the lake.) stil needing to be done portholes on lower cabin, lace lifeboat, lace davit, rig mast, install motor and electronics, ballast and go have some fun!

well did the rigging for the mast.

and this is the start of the rope bumper for the front of the boat I think the chain is pretty close to scale.

thanks E, I went to the hobby shop today and had them test the brand new esc and see if they can figure out why it wasn't working and the magic blue smoke soon poured out of it. I got lucky it happened there and they gave me a replacement.

well went through 2 more esc's at the hobby shop they marked it up as a defective batch and gave me one from a different brand (a traxxas) everything is working good now and all that's left is to weather the boat.

Well the new one is working well if the weather improves I my give her a test run today. Tim we didnt get any snow however I did go over to a friends house to learn how to weather a model he has built models for hollywood so he knows his stuff. I came home and ordered a new airbrush and some iron paint that will form actual rust. The hull is gong to be weathered but the superstructure will stay mostly clean. I looked at allot of pics of the moran tugs and it seems captins were very strict about keeping the superstructure clean and tidy even if the hull looked a little rough. I am still working on the rope bumpers they are going to take a long time to finish so I will finish detailing the rest of the boat and then add them once they are complete.
