Gwynedd Model Boat Group
« on: May 12, 2006, 07:52:42 pm »

As the heading says we are not a club but a group of individualls who have the same interest Boats. We meet up every sunday at Llanberis Lake Norht wales next to the Electric Mountain Visitors Centre Parking is free,if the weather is bad we meet at the lagoons which is lokated just before the turning for the village. The only rues we have is that there are no IC models allowed on this lake and we insist the all transmitter arials are protected due to the number of general public that come to admire our boats, and of course insurance. We are not bothered what the weather is we will be there rain, hail, snow or sunshine,Come along and say hello, bring your boat you are more than welcome,if you need directions pm me or the Welsh Druid for more info

Tiger,

IC is Internal combustion type engines, in other words, all boats welcome prividing they are sail or electric.....

The protection part is a flag on the aerial tip, or in some places a plastic ball, for the protection of people 's eyes, as an arial in the eye is not a nice thing....

Yes, we do meet every Sunday from 1000 until around 1400.
Numbers are slowly diminishing due to health issues due old age.
It's still not a club and the only rule is no rules bar that one about I/C. Put a Kinder Egg on the antenna tip for eye protection.
Parking is NOT free any more and it's just doubled in price around £4/4hrs and wardens are rabid.

Stavros, sorry mate must have joined after all the earlier posts and didn't know we had a name. I was in Australia when I heard about it (and you) in a model shop in Townsville.
Jerry.
