Hello from Perth Western Australia
« on: December 21, 2012, 01:02:18 am »

Its a long way from anywhere but Perth is blessed with some of the best weather in the world.
I am a member of 2 clubs in Perth,
Australian Model Ships Society and North Coast Marine Modellers
We are a small but dedicated bunch. My bag is steam engines and steam boats.
I have over 100 videos on Youtube on the subject and hope to share some of these with you.
I look forward to new ideas and all the latest in model boating.
Cheers

Welcome to Mayhem from the other side of Oz.
We were in Perth last year and really enjoyed it .
The maritime museum is a 'must visit' for anyone who goes there if only to see the 'secret weapon'.

welcome modmanmax, I'm originally a Mandurah boy myself, back when it was a fun little coastal town. Where do you sail your models?

Hi all, I can echo what was said about Perth Maritime museum, it is very good.  It was windy when we were there, I have never walked leaning at 45 degrees to the wind before!
regards Roy

Consider yourself lucky.
At Greenough up the coast (north) from Perth the trees grow horizontal.

Hi ModmanMax!

I've been to Perth 5 times since 1997 - love it!  Have been up and down the coast a few hours in each direction.  Am so lucky to have friends living there.  Makes for a cheap(er), but lovely holiday!  I'm new on here too!!
