Hi Guys, Thought you might like to see new AA boat for this season, still a lot of testing to do, had carb probs so couldnt set pipe length yet, then  the pond froze  which hasent helped, once we are up and running again will get race numbers on.

That'll be 3 x GPL 1000's running this season then, although mines in A class with an ASP 46M on board  :}  I hear someone will be running one of Grahams tunnel hulls in the new Class 1 as well  :-))

Looking forward to our first BMPRS race at Leicester on 24th March  O0

Cheers

Hi Steve
Ha, you think that will beat my "yellow peril"??  Well ok, it may do - but I'll not make it easy for you :-)
Re the exhaust join - if you don't have the tuned pipe sliding over the manifold, the butt joint will blow hot gas out.  The best way is to extend the PIPE end with a bit of wider tube so that it slides a bit over the end of the manifold pipe.  If this can't be done, put a piece of hard PTFE tube (about 20 mm) over the two ends of the butt joint, then a 40 mm piece of silicon over the two ends.
Or better still, water cool both ends.
Cheers
Danny

Hi Danny, as you can see from the photos the pipe has come away from the engine side, my fault as i had modified the original wrap round  manifold then modified it again for a longer pipe, not alot of aluminium left. have now made it from brass and stainless steel, the pip does indeed slide over this pipe but i have now fitted a water cooling ring as well! I reckon this new boat could be a handfull in choppy water, left stick going to get some use i guess. dont know if you have found any local water to run on, but Graham lay who supplies the GPL  lives near Lowerstoft and he has invited Greg and myself up for some racing on their water.

Hi Steve
I reckon that your new boats look the business. I like the fact that these hulls have plenty of freeboard and should be good for choppy water so often seen at BMPRS events.
 :-)) :-))

Thanks Craig. These hulls are brilliant for the price, very stable still plenty of tuning to do, Choppy water does tend to spin if not quick enough on throttle LOL! May have to wait to use it in anger still struggling to get fit after my op, still hope to catch up with you all soon.  :-))
