Club or pond near Ruislip/Eastcote NW London
« on: January 24, 2013, 11:13:36 pm »

Hi guys,

I'm soon to be moving to NW London, around the Ruislip/Eastcote area. Does anybody know of a club or a pond over there somewhere? I know of the Lido but I'm not sure about putting the little 18" Sea Nymph on that big a lake!

Hi,

You might like to visit Black Park, which is only about 7 miles from the centre of Ruislip. SL3 6DS
See Black Park Model Boat Club  http://www.blackparkmodelboatclub.org.uk/
We sail Sunday mornings and Thursday afternoons.  Very friendly club.

Thanks gents, when we get settled into our new home I'll be sure to bring the lad and his boat down to have a little sail.

I built him a Sea Nymph last year - the first boat I've ever built, and now I'm pondering building myself something, nice to know there is a club fairly near by if I do decide to build another!

When you come down ask for David, Allan, Frank or Guy.

Look forward to seeing you.

Hi Guy,

Thanks for the offer, where and when does the club meet? We are in the process of trying to buy in Ruislip so I wont be a local for a while yet but I'll certainly try and find the time to pop down when I have moved in. Next step is to find a new flying club!
