Lost count how many times i've berthed the ferry onto that linkspan, 100's maybe 1000's !!!!    {-)

i have used the fast cat to the iow and the hover! supprised just how smooth the cat is!

If you think the Cat was smooth then you should have experienced the Denny motorships and the old paddlers Ryde and Sandown. Now that really was the civilised way to travel. When building my model of the Shanklin I had the privilege of being on the bridge of the Brading for several crossings one day, I was even allowed to take the helm - magical! Many, many thanks to the skipper, the late Chris Javes who became a good friend.
