HS93 (rest his soul) ordered some Lathe parts from Grizzly in America last April I think.  Production problems etc and they still haven't delivered. I am very tempted to send them his new delivery address.

i am sure u will receive the item soon
if you could not receive it on time, please contact me,

Question : How long would you expect a HongKong Airmail packet to take? -
the 'item' referred to, is two small electronic components - not exactly a bulky
or difficult item to post!

I used to get Cds from CD-WOW! in Hong Kong in four days!

Stopped answering emails now. Been emailing for the past 3-4 weeks.

Has anyone got any idea where he's at?

I believe he's snowed under and doing his best according to a mention on Paddleducks. Keep trying to contact him, but don't persue it on Mayhem's open forum.

With all due respect, snow doesn't stop the internet...

Hes answered emails from his mail@clydemode......... late at night before so I don't believe for a second he can't access them from his home address.

And snowed in for a whole 4-5 weeks? The chap would have died of hunger by now or gone broke.

There's been clear issues with Kim before on this forum and i'm yet another person who isn't getting what i've paid for.

I'm not starting a hate campaign against the chap, the thread is titled 'Longest delivery time', i'm simply mentioning my situation.

Reminds me of another (gone bust) model chap who was in over his head.

And talking of snow and ice has anyone made a model of a icebreaker? looks like an interesting project which is a little different. I ordered
parts from china which took six weeks to arrive and were completely different to what I ordered, I think Ill order from U.K. in future. >:-o >:-o

It is obvious to me that it is not in the interests of the forum to be involved in customer disputes with suppliers. It gets into he said, we said, they said, or did or did not. From some posts here it is clear that there are traders that we should avoid. That said I would suggest for a start that you send Pm's to all your friends stating the issues you have had with certain traders & copies of any mail that show clearly what has happened. Our hobby is very much a Mom & Pop operation so we should keep this in mind before we bash someone that generally are seen to do their best. It is buyer beware after all. I dealt with one trader & spent some 2200.00 pounds with them I got very poor service, writing some 20 emails trying to get the transaction completed. They make great kits but will never receive one dime of my money ever again. In time this will affect their business & in the end it will fail. We are a small group & news travels fast, talk to your friends at the club & at the lake, but also tell them about the companies that have treated you well & given you good service, we do seem to forget the good ones a lot of the time. Hi Mick

I never miss an opportunity to recommend the people I have good dealings with. I also ask advice on here when I want something. Reputation is a big thing if you want your sales to grow. And yes the pm's do circulate ... Sometimes from very unexpected people.

We decided to remove the post as it was issue with a supplier product not a delivery issue. ( Hope you understand Colin )
