What does R&D stand for?
« on: March 19, 2013, 10:12:01 pm »

I have to apologize!

I am not a native speaker, and I am lazy. Hence, I know what R&R stands for...but not what R&D means!

Noting that sections are made for e.g. WARSHIPS and WARSHIPS R&D, I wonder which post needs to go where, in case!

Who can enlighten me?

Cheers!

Is that a guess?

...does not really explain the difference to me! To WARSHIPS that is...

Research is fairly clear to me, development...well...?

And how to differentiate to WARSHIPS? Anything building a model THERE, pure research on potential Models under R&D???

Still unsure I am!

Leaky,

My understanding is that they're forum sections dedicated to asking more esoteric research and design questions.  For example, one might ask about centres of sail plan effort or effective rudder sizes.  The non-R&D sections would be for build logs or model specific questions.

"Perhaps".  %%

Rain and Drizzle. May deter you from going to the lake with the boats, but a perfect excuse to go into the shed/loft/garage/kitchen (if permitted by SWMBO %% ) and get building/painting/restoring etc!  :-))
