Hi Danielle, just back from holiday and catching up on MBM to find the big event has passed and gone !

Congratulations the Cornelia looks every bit as good as she promised to be  and more ! I bet you were a bit nervous risking so much work and attention loose amongst the mayhem going on at the show, I certainly would have been.

As someone has mentioned , it would be even better to see her in more opaque waters, that would give her an even more  realistic image.

Hope she gives you many hours of entertainment - that is, until the next model comes along.......................................?? %)

Thanks a lot Mike. It was a fantastic experience at the show! Its a pleasure to steer with ease the CM around all obstacles on water during the show.
We will take more realistiv pictures on a lake as soon as the weather is better .... hope to stay at the lake the afternoon till it gets dark. We also plan to drive in the alps to take more pictures in very realistic "nordic" environment ... any update concening the CM will be posted here.

My next model will be an elegant italian fishtrawler ....

Elegant ? If the Cornelia wasn't elegant what is ?  O0   Only joking, I'm sure the new build will be equally beautiful and looking forward to following the build.

That is a most elegant boat. The owners and skipper must be very proud of her. Are you starting another topic for this build??

Alaska and the Bering sea ....

.... its the lake Walensee near the swiss mountains with a lot of wind and waves ....

The water came very often up and over the reling and at the end the was 1/2 cup of water in the hull ... no problem as with all the partitions inside the water stayed in place and did not filled the whole hull.

Congratulations Danielle, she looks great  :-)) I like the second last picture in the stills where she is showing a bit of her beam ends and displaying your beautifully done weathering and the video also came out great, the way she corkscrewed in the quarterly seas was most realistic.

You certainly don't do things by halves ! As Derek Warner said, it took a bit of courage to sail her in that big lump of water ! It certainly would need an very big pair of wellies if things went wrong  %%

Thanks a lot to you all!!!!
Wellies wouldn't have been enough to save her out of distress .... I kept her near the shoreline .... but there where some hairy moment when she was 90° to the waves nearly topling over .... more videos will be posted here in the next days ...

@Jim: I think this is possible but there must be also wind and waves ... and I can't walk into the lake barefooted and with my shorts on ...  {:-{

Part 2 - brilliant :-))....... 2:36 to 2:42.....very life like........in Part 4 ......2:20 to 2:50...... wallowing across the waves/swell  <*< extra brilliant ....possible the best footage

In Part 2, I thought the cargo had moved in her hull as she appeared to list to STDB, however Part 4 discounted this......you should be very proud Danielle.....O0........ Derek

As Derek said, a boat to be really proud of !

I like the shots of her in a quarterly/following 'sea' best - maybe because it was it was that corkscrewing motion I found least comfortable with in the real thing ! :((

Has any manufacturer come up with a realistic flag yet ? There must be a modern material made sufficiently fine to enable the flag to 'droop' realistically instead of sticking out bar straight and detracting from the realism.

All in all a beautiful model, now for things slinky and Italian............................................?
