Exactly! Very nice picture of the tug! The lake had no real waves so I decided to fix the deck with only 4 screws instead of 8 .... happily only a small amout of water in the hull. But seeing the pictures I think only some degrees more and she would have heeled over ....

Was there no rudder or reverse on the Tug? {:-{

I'm no boat pilot yet but I can't see how you can ram someone by accident. I can understand with model cars and planes due to the speeds but not boats! If I wasn't an accomplished pilot I'd stay well clear for fear of sinking someone's pride and joy. U2

The captain of the tug had its problems .... the props where not enough into the water and stopping the tug resulted in a lot of bubbles and foam ...

2 new videos from the last event. The lake is located at San Bernadino near the San Bernadino pass in Switzerland (southeastern).

Hi Danielle,
Couldn't really guess at the best scale (well there were some big lads in the crew !), it's making him controllable would be the challenge ! But I was only joking  O0 {-)

I think the latest video was the better of the two, probably it was the more overcast conditions and a little less chop on the water so the CM didn't have that 'bobbing' motion. The beginning was a little spooky with the realistic view from the wheelhouse of the rocky bottom, if I had seen that from the real thing a change of unerwear would have been on the cards  :embarrassed: :}

Watching this space for tiny deckhands wandering around !

Thanks Mike. The second video was made in very strong winds (just before a thunderstorm) and choppy seas. This is not seen on the video. Plus the CM had a steering problem so that I was happy to get her back safe and sound.

The CM was always a little bit underpowered with the 12V motors running on 6V. cheapest solution is a prop change. Now the CM has 2x45mm instead of 2x35mm. The first test in the bathtub was a success! Hope this 3rd prop change will be the last one!

After testing the CM with the new 45mm props in a fountain in Frauenfeld. A little bit small but you can do turns and equipped with fenders I could do some "parking" exercises ...
BTW the test was very positiv! I like the added power to the CM.

Now then, I like that idea. If it can be anchored against the side of the lake, or close in, it will look great - and, of course, you can tie alongside while you consume your favourite beverage. :-))

Some pics of the last 2 days show at Vaduz (Liechtenstein).

The new props are superb! It was extremely windy the first day and I was happy for some extra power!

My CM had always a few issues with the rudders .... so I decided to build some new ones .... and the props where too long!

Old parts ....

After 1.5h the rudders are partly finished. The props are shorted as much as I could. You also can see the cardboard strip with the max. height the rudders can have.
I think the new rudders will be much better.
