before i got unwell i left the batteries in my futaba t2e2 tx,  as you can inmagine thay leaked put new battries in  lights came on but no signal  took  it to pieces  bit of liquid  in it cleaned it all. over cannot see any thing broken or corroded put it back,, red and green lights come on but no signal. the rx is ok tested with another  tx not my year so far

Gordon,
may be a silly question,but have you made sure you have rthe same frequency crystals in both Tx and Rx?

  hi took crystals from the good one the one i was using. and used them on the one that does not work power lights come on but no signal took crystal out and put it back in the good one all ok  getting a bit exspensive this boating lark  .

  had another go at my tranmitter this morning took it apart cleaned it put it togeather battries in crystals in switched on nothing moving in the yatch but a buzzing on the radio bbc local switched off tx.. buzzing stopped . switched on tx buzzing started again ..any clues .

If the batteries have leaked into the Circuit boards then it's the Kiss of death for the system.  You won't even see the damage but it's there.

I used to see this all the time. The only way is to get it checked out professionally. You cheapest option is a secondhand Planet R/X

Even then I probably wouldn't trust it with my prized boat.


Another one here with a spare TX you can have.... I'm in the UK next week so can post it to you cheaper

Hi Essex,no need to bring it matey,I only live a few miles from Gordon,so I can drop it over to him.I dont think he needs it yet,but as soon as he lets me know I will do so
