trawlerman's new project
« on: March 26, 2013, 01:56:35 pm »

Wodney's too shy and bashfull to show his new model drifter in it's build process,........not long to go now and she'll be finished,

and so I sneeked a few shots of the model this morning....it's a cracker!!!

Lovely job Trawlerman :-))
Neil, you shouldn't have opened the bond before taking
the photos. The galley has a distinct list on the first photo :} :D

Hi Trawlerman that is a very nice model you will have to get a few herring scales on the deck--all the best--Charlie

To build such a lovely model from just two black and white photos without any plans deserves praise indeed, I'd take my hat off to you Rod, you've done a great job - something I'd be very proud of. :-))

Hi Tony...Thanks for the message. After spending years as a fitter in the dying & bleaching trade and mending obsolete machines then you have to adopt a mentality of being able to overcome any problem that arises. Having said that for my next trawler build  i have a nice set of plans,..all the best...Rod  :-))

anyway.......now nicely refreshed and smelling even fresher I'll post some pics of his boat because he's too modest too..

believe me when I say this looks better in the flesh  than it does on pictures.......AND  he built it purely from photos and the meagrest of a very poorly detailed old plan that someone sent him.
both he and the model are just magic.

brilliant model Wodney! I love the detailing that you would not useually get on models like the fish scoops and deck brush, just great.Even Ally(the dog for those who dont know)looks pleased with it.Distinct lack of fagash though matey, was it a windy day? :}  Seriously my friend,a really good model.
