Looking for info on M.V Pateke
« on: March 27, 2013, 08:17:26 pm »

Hi guys, I'm after info on the M.V Pateke and her sisters, Pukeko and Patere (?)...........theres some info on the net but a bit scarce, I'm after general arrangements, detail pics inside and outside of the wheelhouse and superstructure, fore and after deck detail, derrick detail and hold detail........I'm going to be using the models by design hull of the pateke, I'm aware that the hull comes with a plan but not sure of its accuracy as I havent seen it yet, if any of you can enlighten me I would really appreciate it.
Also, I spoke to Martin at Westbourne Models (Top bloke!!!).....his recommended motor - battery - speed controller  combination was a MFA geared 6 to 1, 12v 7ah battery and a 15amp speed controller......I'm not doubting his advice but just wandering if you all concur with the advice!!!
All the best. Dave

The Models by Design Pateke hull comes with the original Nexus plan which is pretty comprehensive and is reputed to be accurate so you should be OK.
