Thanks cjcj121 I'm really pleased with how it's turning out so far, as for the workshop, I wish it was just a little bit bigger.

Hi Mermod I have never seen a workshop that was big enough, we just seem to fill all available space, but I must say you have a lovely workshop. Mick B.

Thanks Mick, I really do appreciate a small workshop at the moment,  my small woodheater is struggling to keep it toasty warm.
I finally got motivated (by all the rain dripping on my head) and made an awning over the door complete with solar sensor light, if I think to I will take a pic, mind you it only took about 15 years of standing in the rain looking for the key.

Jig to hold the nozzles and rudders in place.

Thanks Ken, certainly takes any guesswork out of it.
Oh and as promised here's a pic of the workshop.

As you can see it's a dreary old day down here in Tasmania, the rivers here on the northwest coast are on flood alert, I very nearly got the car bogged on the front lawn this morning.

A real Brick building, over here we build nearly everything out of wood & most of our sheds are made from one or another form of plastic, I can see the arch over the door would be handy when it rains. Mick B.

What you can't quite see and what I get asked about the most are the 2 litre coke bottles full of water I have cut into the roof, believe it or not when the sunlight refracts through the water they equate to about a 40 watt light globe, great for those dark spots inside.
There's a couple of good clips on you tube, look for solar powered light globe.

mermod.....do you soft solder the A frames to the prop shaft outer tube core? .....just that there appears to be heat colour on one of the verticals.......& so wondered if distortion of the tube could cause an issue.........Derek

I silver solder the A frame legs, I don't claim to be any sort of expert when it comes to soldering, what sort of problems can the discoloration cause?  is it the pinky reddy bits that you mean ? the black bits seem to form from the blue flux around the solder sticks I use.
My "has it stuck" test is to give it a flick, you can usually hear if it hasn't worked.
Any advice when it comes to soldering is appreciated.
Oh, and the tubes on the A frames are separate to the actual stuffing box  and its 1.5mm thick so no real issue there.
Thanks for watching

Well, It's been a while since my last post, had a very sick little girl to start with then I picked up a weird infection that the doctors cant find or explain, if it's not the illness its the drugs they throw at it, anyway spent a couple of days in the workshop and did a bit more on the Wattle.

You can double the niceness then  O0
You can have company too; I have been strangely virused up for a few weeks.
I hope your return to the boaty bits signals you are recovering.
