Hello Gazou, my tools are very basic, I only use one laser cutter ;)  and the glue is number 16 acrylic weld.

Todays update, I have been playing around with a display stand and put a bit of red oxide primer on.

Probably should mention the plastic I'm using, the matt black can be engraved away to reveal the white innards, often used on nametags etc.

Fantastic detail. Lovely work.

Will it be seen when the models completed? I did some wheelhouse detailing on earlier models but found it wasn't really visible (maybe lights would have helped) when displaying the model.

Haven't bothered since. However, your work may just get me going again.

Thanks dougal99, I don't usually go much on interior detail but being such a large scale with big clear windows it seemed wrong not to do it, plus I wanted to see how far I could go with the laser engraving.
Derek, thanks for the comment, most of the gauges on the real thing were centred with only a couple showing slight differences but by that stage I really couldn't be bothered changing the CAD files  :) and merry Christmas to you both.

Thanks 110samec, todays job was to make the binnacle, ended up using a brass tube with laser cut rings , a turned dome and two of the wifes craft beads.

Finally got around to putting some pics on photobucket so here's an update.
The stand finally gets 4 coats of gloss black and some new clear acrylic uprights.

Here is the tow hook and bitt, these are the masters that when finished will be cast in resin.

Load testing the completed hook, pictured is a 4litre tub of resin, later on I managed to hang 20kg of weight from it without breaking the castings but I did bend the brass pins.
