Carry on with the build Darren
and take her to Wicky.
Take the boat for sale as well.
Enjoy Wicky  it's for everyone.

You should have emailed Martin as soon as you had problems with your
original membership and you would probably got sorted without resorting
to spurious posts to get the requisite posts under your belt.
Wicky iaint worth missing if you can get there.
I wish I could make it.

Darren,
As Ned has said, if you had contacted Martin or a moderator the situation of your lost posts could have been resolved quite easily.
Just posting to get the number of posts makes you look like you have only joined Mayhem to sell models.

Hi dc. I looked at your name and you had 148 posts. Come to mayhem as I need to see the puffer. Pics don't it justice. Luton will be attending but in a much reduced mode but your still welcome to set up with us. Ps bring the missus and tell her what she will be missing!
To all don't forget to charge your batteries!
Will be seeing you all on the Friday between 10 and 11. Klunk is in super mode at the moment as work which will set me up for Wicksteed. All I require is bacon rolls and tea!

That's not an excuse. I spend a weekend looking like a demented teletubby. The least she could do is come and laugh at me! Cos I know you and Ian will!!

So electrics are all in thanks to the old man speaker at the front temp 2500mah stick back its dads i have a 5000mah pack to run motor the two lead acid batteries run the foggy unit ( foggy unit needs repairing at the moment needs new fan it go wet so think it burnt motor out as u can see its not on it in pics) and one of the lead acid batteries runs sound unit due to foggy unit being 24 volts and sound unit being 12v servo all linked up etc now just need to finish the painting and varnish her then water test to make sure she sits on water line but judging the weight off her at the moment i dont think she will need alot of extra weight

That is one of the best model boats I've ever seen DC...it is so atmospheric, captures the look of the old puffers so well.

My heartiest compliments, sir...

I'll second that comment of U33's....took me six years of sailing in all weathers to get the same grimy effect on my puffer............but even after being run down by a friends 8'6" Hunt Class destroyer, she still bobbed up like a cork and sailed well.............they are fabulous little models, and I can state quite reasonably with Hand on heart, that this kit was and is the finest little model that Frank Hinchliffe ever EVER  designed and built.......and yours does the old man proud.........he would have loved it.

Ok guys hope every one is well and looking forward to the week end I am really excited about wickstead had cracking year last year.

Yesterday I varnished the puffer and then done some water tests with her I'm glad to say she took no water in either through shaft or rudder happy days :) but when looking at the ballast and where she sits etc she sat fine on the back but front needed to come down more and she was sat one side slightly the pictures are from before I put ballast in to sit her correctly in the water over all I am very happy with how she looks on water etc I just have to try and work out how to charge the lead acid batteries on my core rc charger

DC, I don't care what anybody else thinks, but I still say that boat is worthy of entering in a major exhibition...it's really atmospheric in it's finish. I keep looking at the Motorflote and thinking of how it would look with that sort of finish...

Well done mate...it's a credit to your skills as a modeller.
