Remora running gear
« on: April 03, 2013, 10:51:11 am »

Hi All,
I am about to start building a Vic Smeed design from the early 50's called Remora. I will be powering it with an OS 21 glow motor (marine). The motor has a crank shaft thread of 1/4 x 28. I need a coupling, prop shaft (300 mm long x 6.5mm diam) and prop (the plan says around 45mm diam). I am a long term aeromodeller and havent built a boat in 30 years. Can someone advise me on the specifics re the coupling as I cant seem to locate a coupling to suit and where I might purchase same. Prop shafts and props seem to be readily available.
Cheers
