Went up to South Shields not to long ago to visit the lifeboat station , on the way back called at  Freeman Park in South Gosforth, I think they call it Paddy Freeman, had a sail on what was a good area of water. does anyone know if there are any clubs sailing io that water.

Hi Gerard,
Yes, Paddy Freemans has a MPBC and the hut adjacent to the pond is where they meet on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. They also have a website which you can access using Paddy Freemans MPBC although it does not seem to get many hits. There is however a fair bit of info about the club and its activities. I am a member there myself; most of the members are electric RC although there are one or two steamers, myself included.

All the best, Fred Graham

I'm surprised that no more replies have been posted!
Apart from Paddy Freemans....
There's Tynemouth MBC founded in 1893 and still going strong with around 100 members that caters for just about all forms of model boating.
Others include South Shields, Sunderland,Ryton, Saltwell Park and Killingworth. There's probably more that I've forgotten about. If so...sorry. BY. (TMBC).

Willy, is this to be a bow-tie and spats sort of visit? Bryan.

No Brian, just a warm welcome to a visitor from another club. But if you want to put on your MN uniform feel free and do not forget to make his coffee, thank you. Willy.
