I think i would  have struggled not to have replied in the boat :}
No offence meant woody its all laff innit
On serious note though as howard says as low as possible. If the plans do not say where to position exactly where the batteries go then id seriously suggest you do it while the boat is afloat in the domestic tank, if you can do with the deckhouse on aswell even better as you will need to take this additional weight into account after the batteries are inplace.

Thanks lads I left myself wide open for that :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
 Now to more important things like this boat . I must say I know nothing about boats so the question I must  ask is  what is trim and how  do I do'it.
P.S. This boat was ment to have a marine engine in it.
Many thanks for all the help [and the laugh  ;D ]

Trim is the angle that the boat sits and rides on the water. Trimming the boat is adjusting this angle.
What boat have you got maybe someone on here has built it and can tell you.

I get a feeling Woody that your pictures have somehow floated away, but nice to have you on board, in a week or two you will be crazy like all the rest & you will fit in perfectly then, Mick B.

 %% Hi, Woody,you will soon get used to the guy's on here,great lads a lot of help when you need it.About the battery try and get the battery
as low in the hull as possible towards the centre of the boat that way trimming will be a lot easier and you will not so much ballast.

ive found your pictures. If i may suggest it would be best to keep your posts alltogeather under one thread, that way the people who are allready familiar with your boat can answer your questions quicker and better because they are allready aware of its ongoing progress.  :-))
Speaking of progress, have you got any pictures of it now?
