Hi guys,
LIDL are selling as from Monday in our local shops a
Parkside cordless Multi-Grinder,
9.6v NIMH 1000 mAh rechargeable battery
variable no load speed (rpm) 5000 - 25000
Has any one got one, used one, or heard of them,
are they a load of rubbish?
They have a 3 year warranty
They are priced at 19.99 each and come with carry case etc.
sounds like a bargain.

they are not quite as good as the mains powered ones, but then again they can go with you to pondside, I have 2 mains powered, 1 x 18v and a cordless one here, and as I say the cordless one doesnt have quite the same oomph as the others but does get a job done eventually. my cordless is I think the powerbase one, and probably only has lead acid or nicad batteries as its a few years old now.

went in today - no solder stations, but they had mini rotary tools, plus tool sets and accessories, if you bought the drill (19.99) and the tool set (12.99) you got the pair for 30, two sets of accessories were 4 (0.98 off), bought 2 accessory sets (cutting discs) and a tool set (276 pieces), plus spotted an angled drive for a powered screwdriver (hex option - very narrow workspace), they had them with drill chuck ends too, but they were wider. (4.99).

Aldi is selling magnifying lamps for 30.
I've been using a medical lamp of the same style for a number of years and it's been invaluable. Bought the Aldi version yesterday and it's every bit as good, and has the advantage of being a lot less bulky.

Thanks for the  heads up  Ned.

I've bought one and here it is.  I did buy the extra tools in case they were not available in the future.  I've tested it out and it works fine.

This is the tool that need pressure on a solid object to cut through.  If you just put your fingers on the moving blade it does no harm.  Unless you push hard.   %%

Cheers

Ken

Why pay postage on Flea bay when a couple of these
will last a while and they will probably be back on sale
by the time you have used them.

Just a reminder that this compressor not having a tank
(reservoir) vents air as it runs. This is not a fault as some
purchasers have thought.

Went to Aldi on Sunday. No peppers, no celery, no lettuce, none of my favourite breakfast cereal, no courgettes, no pork gravy granules....... should have stuck with LIDL.
