%) Lidl were selling cycling shorts last week - oooo - wonder what I would look like in them -  :police: - sorry should not give people day mares. A couple of months ago our local Aldi were selling compressor gear including 60w units, was not sure how good they are.

Our Aldi, about 300 yards down the road, change their offers on a weekly basis. I always pop in on a Thursday to see what's new. Recently got a power sander for 12.99 couple of days after my old one gave up the ghost.

Had on of those for about 6 months and must say that it is great. Rescued a couple of dodgy batteries and are simple to use, plug in-switch on and leave it, goes to trickle charge until you want it.

One thing I seriously miss about the UK is hitting Aldi and Lidl when the new specials arrive.

Next week
July 12

Expensive at 129 quid, but if you have heavy tools and are tight for space well worth it.

Just a note to be aware of , I bought a hand vac cleaner the type that fit in a holder and charges up, anyway went to use it and the battries had not charged  ,went to the shop talked to a manager told him I had no receipt or packaging could I bring it back his answer was no problem yes , I took it back that manager had gone new man would not take it back ,we had as bit of a row but I finished up with a deal . The problem was we bought it in with our weekly shop so it was lost in among the food items on the till receipt which we don't keep . The upshot is always put it through the till separate from the food then you will have proof of purchase . I know some of you will do that but it did not dawn on me to do it .

After a brief trial this evening, cutting various shapes and slotting out a 'window', I was quite impressed. The saw is light and easy to use. I liked the adjustable speed function for differing thicknesses and materials. It was very quiet and much more 'useable' for fine work than my present Bosch type. The only gripe I had was the rip-fence scale which was as much as 2mm out! So if you get one, do your own measuring!. Nice bit of kit and cheap. Sorry to disappoint the bloodthirsty, but I did not wear gloves and survived uninjured  :-))

lidl airbrush set
« Reply #45 on: December 27, 2015, 04:18:03 pm »

Just popped into lidl's and spotted one last airbrush set in a tatty box. All the mechanicals are there (i checked in store) the only thing that might be missing would be the sample paints mentioned in the leaflet, but for 35 I'm not complaining as I have been after an airbrush for years. as it also has a compressor gun and other tools it will be useful for other things too. :-)

Silly me! Bought one a couple of months ago - a complete impulse buy and it is sitting gathering dust as I will probably never use it. If anyone wants it PM me for a good deal.

Still available if anyone can collect. Weight makes postage too high to produce a bargain. PM if interested.
